Captain's Pick 37 · Survival to Win
BTECH GMRS-V2 Radio
Five watts, 200 programmable channels, and a NOAA weather receiver — the radio that keeps the crew on one page when the trail, the campsite, or the forecast turns.

The BTECH GMRS-V2 is a 5-watt handheld GMRS radio with programmable channels and a NOAA weather receiver.
Why it's on my list
When cell service drops, it keeps the family talking across a campsite, a convoy, or a neighborhood. GMRS use in the U.S. requires an FCC license, which covers the whole family.
Best for
Camping groups, road-trip convoys, and storm prep.
Captain's tip
Get the FCC GMRS license before you need the radio, and practice with the family.
