Captain's Pick 25 · The Unexplained
EVERLIT 72-Hour Kit
A full family go-bag — shelter, rations, radio, first aid — built once, stored smart, hopefully never opened.

The EVERLIT 72-hour kit is an emergency backpack packed with food, water, shelter, and first-aid basics for three days.
Why it's on my list
Desert road trips go through long stretches without service. A kit in the trunk means a breakdown is an inconvenience, not an emergency.
Best for
Road trippers and anyone starting an emergency kit.
Captain's tip
Check the expiration dates on the food and water once a year.
